How does brewlab work?
As a Brewlab member, you get a variety pack of beer each time our collective of home brewers does a new batch. These days we're creating a batch roughly once every 5 weeks.
Brewlab isn't just about free beer. Members also get invited to exclusive Brewlab events, they meet and talk with the people brewing their beer, they carefully review the beers on our website, and they support our efforts through voluntary membership contributions.
How many of these beers do I get per batch?
Each member gets a six pack from each batch.
And this beer is free??
Yep! We're not in the business of selling beer.
That said, we can only cover the costs of brewing and running the organization with the help of our members, and so each batch we ask our members to consider contributing money to the cause.
How many of each beer will I get?
Expect 1-2 bottles of each beer style. We'll try to give you as much of a variety as possible so that you can taste a bit of everything.
How do I get my beer?
We have a pickup time at some place in the Mission for each batch. It's a fun time.
We also deliver anywhere within SF city limits. If your recent parking ticket had to be paid to the SF Parking office, you’re within the city limits.
When will you deliver?
We deliver on Wednesdays from 6 - 9 pm.
I have bingo Wednesday nights.
If you're not available during our delivery window, you'll need to come to pickup day.
So this beer that you made at home, is it okay to drink?
Well, I’m no doctor, but alcohol and yeast help kill a lot of things, including the stuff you’re worried about. Also, we take great care in making our beers. So in my non-certified, homebrewer opinion, yes, it’s okay to drink.
